Umbral, Curio Collection by Hilton

I had Umbral host my entire wedding guests, they were incredible. Organized our rooms according, the terraza was such a memorable spot for my guests to hang out. They accommodated everyone in the best way possible. The rooms are so unique and fun, you really escape into another moment in time. In another post, I would love to show my wedding photos taken here because they are SPECTACULAR. Groomsmen got to hang out in the theatre room while I got dressed in the suites. I have never been taken care of so well, I was in a true dream. Whether youre hosting a wedding or if youre going to visit and want to be in the thick of centro historico--Umbral is the best home. Cannot wait to come back.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We had almost all of the rooms at Umbral booked for my wedding around the corner at Casino Español. The rooms, the staff/service, everything was excellent. The quality of the stay made the wedding week that much better. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I’ll definitely be back soon!

Wonderful stay here! Room was very comfortable and quiet. Gym was extremely well equipped. We had really tasty breakfasts on the rooftop restaurant in a green, light-filled space. All the staff were very kind and responsive to our requests via WhatsApp, especially Larissa & Eduardo. Would definitely stay again!

This was a great option for us in the Centro of them city. The location is very good. The hotel lobby is a bit strange and quite dark but it smells very nice. They told us they have a daily happy hour with mezcal or tequila tasting but there was hardly anything there. All we saw see empty bottles. Our room was very nice. We had booked via American express so they upgraded our room. It was large and airy and the bathroom was very large and spacious. They have a roof top area where they serve food and drinks. We ate breakfast there which was just okay, nothing special. We ate lunch there and tipped while signing for the bill. We noticed that the tip was changed to increase it. We noticed it when we checked out. So be careful. It's not a big deal but itb shouldn't happen.

The service and location of the hotel is top notch. We got in super early and left super late. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly offering us a place to hangout. We had breakfast at their restaurant located at the top floor. They served Mexican food, which was great for us as it allowed us to try a lot of Mexican food. The outdoor pool is a bit tiny and there was one day they had a party at the top floor during the day and didn’t let us know.

Love this hotel already. Just beautiful in my opinion. Great rooms. Got upgraded. Bathroom is amazing. The soaps and shampoos are amazing Super friendly staff. Great at check in. Everyone including cleaning and maintenance staff says hello Amex platinum side note, book if you can through Amex travel for extra benefits Rooftop restaurant and pool. Pool is small but an option. Only issue right now is the construction noise next door. Like literally could not nap. I may have to drop a start by the last day but everything else holding out.

A cozy hotel in the midst of MXC. I had a fun time staying here for a short 3 nights, with the location being quite nice, located near most attractions that I was interested in. The rooms were nonstandard and might be considered bare, but they had a cute feel. The ambience in general felt very modern and serene. The pool is small but has nice rooftop view, but the gym is actually just too small to be honest. I booked through the AMEX card, and I used my credits for a ride to the hotel and breakfast for all three mornings.

Overall, I would like to give it 4.5 stars. The hotel is unique in terms of aesthetics. It is conveniently located — just a block away from Plaza de la Constitution, with lots of restaurants, convenience stores, atms, etc nearby. The staff are very friendly, the room is clean, good food at the restaurants, nice little fitness center, rooftop bar and pool. The only downside is the noise level. The rooms need sound-proofing. You would hear the luggages being dragged by other guests. My room was on the 3rd floor somewhere in the middle and I could hear some street noise. Otherwise, the room was clean and visually appealing. I booked through Amex hotel collection and is also a Hilton diamond, but got no room upgrade (I tried to ask ) even if online shows availability. I know that I shld book the room that I wanted; I guess I just got pampered by Hilton in the past. But this does not impact rating to this property.
